Andrea was born in Italy in 1972. At a young age Andrea was already playing in a Rock band, but then, as he matured, his musical tastes widened to include other genres such as Fusion, Jazz Rock and later Ambient and Chill-Out. His musical voice is very interior, and Andrea feels the need to compose to externalize that which his interior self cannot express with words. ... more

At first this seems an unlikely pairing: Finzer, a classically-trained flutist recording in the new age genre, and City of Dawn, known primarily for his dense, synth-based drone music with white-noise ambient artist, Zaké. But listening to this album, my response is: of course! Finzer’s famously-ethereal, drifting flute lines are a perfect complement to City of Dawn’s gentle atmospherics. The result heightens the underlying emotional core in each of these pieces.
